The People Operations Intern role is designed to provide hands-on work experience and skill building for college students interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources. In this role, you will learn essential skills within Human Resources, Talent Operations and Learning and Development.
As an intern in our comprehensive 2024 summer program, you will gain substantial personal learning and career development opportunities through ownership of real-world HR assignments, strong coaching and mentorship. This role will report to the HR Manager.
- Location: Onsite in Wilmington, MA corporate headquarters.
- Internship period: 12 weeks from May to August
- Full Time, 40 hours per week, paid internship
Responsibilities
- Provide support in the administration of our global new hire onboarding process (assist with new hire communications, weekly new hire orientation, running and filing background checks, form distribution and collection, maintaining employee records, etc.).
- Assist with maintenance and auditing of employee personnel files to comply with applicable legal requirements and internal standards.
- Maintain electronic employee records and update employee information accordingly in ADP.
- Update/maintain internal People Operations web page with HR news and communications.
- Assist in implementing carrier connections between ADP and benefit providers to ensure secure transmission of benefit enrollment data.
- Provide support to employees and managers with a variety of HR-related questions and requests.
- Assist in the ongoing implementation projects of Greenhouse- Applicant Tracking System.
- Assist with Locus University, learning and development projects.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program as a rising Senior or MBA student.
- GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Proficiency with software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Google Drive, Zoom.
- Strong attention to detail, organization and follow-up skills.
- Ability to complete a variety of tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with guidance as needed.
- Ability to work effectively with employees across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Proficient English written and verbal communications skills required to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
